Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, has announced the appointment of Brad Hough, PhD, to the newly created position of chief information officer at the school. In this position, Dr. Hough will be responsible for maintaining an integrated, efficient, sustainable and responsive program of information systems, technologies and services for Logan including infrastructure support services for academic, research and administrative computing, distance education, intercampus communication services and security. Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, has announced the appointment of Martha Kaeser, MA, DC, as the director of clinical assessment. In this new position, Dr. Kaeser will lead the clinical assessment in performed in Logan’s new Assessment Center on campus including creating case studies of physical and clinical circumstances and conditions, and collaborate with clinical and diagnostic on competencies such as examination, diagnosis and chiropractic treatment for which students will be evaluated using standardized patients. Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs held its 167th commencement for the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic on Saturday, April 21, 2011, in the William D. Purser, DC Center on the Logan campus in suburban St. Louis. The ceremony, which included the academic hooding of each graduate, honored 80 students with the conferral of the Doctor of Chiropractic degree by Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC. Thirty-two students received their Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation degrees from Logan University Programs. The commencement speaker was Dr. Arlan W. Fuhr, a September 1961 Logan graduate, and co-inventor of the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique®, the most widely used instrument adjusting technique worldwide. Daryl L. Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, has announced the promotion of Angela Reeves McCall, PhD, to associate vice president of academic affairs. Dr. McCall joined Logan in November 2005 director of institutional analysis and assessment and was promoted to assistant vice president of academic affairs in July 2009. "Dr. McCall has flourished as an academician at Logan," said Dr. Goodman. "Her promotion is well deserved and a credit to her knowledge and talents." Read More >

Dr. Boyd A. Bradshaw, vice president of enrollment management at Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs, has been formally nominated as a president-elect candidate for the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) board of directors. Election for this position and two other board of director slots will be made by the NACAC Assembly at its national conference October 4-6, 2012 in Denver, Colo. In selecting a final list of nominees for election by the 2012 Assembly, the Governance and Nominating Committee considered a number of factors including overall career experience, representation and association leadership at both the affiliate and national levels. Logan Set to Graduate 81 New Doctors of Chiropractic and 33 Master's Degree Students at Saturday, April 21, Commencement

Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs will hold its 167th commencement at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, in the William D. Purser, DC Center on the Logan campus. Eighty-one students are scheduled to receive their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees while 33 students will be awarded their Master of Science degrees in sports science and rehabilitation. Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, and other college officials will lead the ceremony. The commencement speaker will be Dr. Arlen Fuhr, a September 1961 Logan graduate, inventor of the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique®, the most widely used instrument adjusting technique worldwide. Dr. Fuhr, who has more than 40 years of experience in private practice, holds more than 100 copyrighted works, 45 foreign and domestic registered trademarks and 12 patents. He has published and contributed to more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and books and is co-founder of Activator Methods International organization.

The Logan Division of Enrollment Management reports that the 38th "Slice of Logan,” held this past Saturday, March 24, drew 76 prospective students and a total of 171 students and guests to the Logan campus from across North America including Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota, Ohio, Nebraska, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Michigan, Oklahoma, Virginia, New Jersey, Colorado, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
