George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, president of Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs, has announced a “3+3” articulation agreement with Benedictine University at Springfield, Ill. The 3+3 agreement allows students to complete the first three years of undergraduate study (at least 90 semester hours of specific coursework including physics, chemistry and biology) at their undergraduate “home institution,” then transfer to Logan to begin the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program. By the end of their first year in the Doctor of Chiropractic program, these students earn the basic science credit hours needed to complete their bachelor’s degree from their undergraduate colleges as well as satisfying their basic science requirements during the first year of graduate studies at Logan leading to the Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs Restructures I.T. Services Department; Announces Appointments

Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, has announced the restructuring of the school’s Information Technology Services department (formerly the Information Systems department) under the direction of Brad Hough, PhD, chief information officer. Ginger Jackson, previously the director of information systems, has transitioned into a new position as Logan’s Director of Administrative Computing, where she oversees the institution’s student information system and online portal full-time. Rick DeCaro has assumed responsibility for the remaining IT systems and services as the Director of Information Technology Services. |

Purser, DC Center on the Logan campus in suburban St. Louis. The ceremony, which included the academic hooding of each graduate, honored 50 students with the conferral of the Doctor of Chiropractic degree by Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC. Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, has announced the appointment of Baldomero (Mero) Nunez, Jr., DC, as a clinician at the college’s Southfield Health Center, located in south St. Louis County. Dr. Nunez joins the Logan clinical staff after operating his own practice in Henderson and Sebree, Ky. for the past 23 years. Dr. Nunez, who graduated from Logan in December 1988, is a certified chiropractic industrial consultant and a certified injury prevention consultant. He will work with Southfield clinicians Jeffrey Kamper, DC, and Aimee Jokerst, DC. Assistant Professor Michael Wittmer, DC, serves as Logan’s director of clinical care with responsibility for Logan’s seven health centers. Read More >

As longtime supporters of the Activator Method Chiropractic Technique®, Dr. George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, president of Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs, and Elizabeth A. Goodman, DC, PhD, dean of university programs, were recently presented with the Eagle Award at the 45th Anniversary Activator Instructors Training Conference in Phoenix, Ariz. The award was a wildlife painting, by renowned artist Mario Fernandez, entitled “Spirit of the Entrepreneur,” which has been given over the past 25 years. The honor was bestowed by Arlan W. Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs to Participate in the CHIPS 12th Annual Health and Wellness Center Community 5K Run/Walk and One-Mile "Fun Walk" on September 15

Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs will support the CHIPS Health and Wellness Center's 12th Annual Community Health Festival 5K Run/Walk and one-mile "fun walk" on Saturday, September 15. The race start and finish are located at the CHIPS parking lot at 2431 N. Grand Blvd. in St. Louis. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. celebrity kickoff and warm-up with an 8:30 run/walk and a 9:30 trophies presentation. Free health screenings will be provided. The center is a community-based internships location for Logan senior interns and is a privately funded program, which receives most of its working funds from donations and events such as the run/walk. In addition to runners, Logan will have a stretch tent at the Community Health Festival.

Logan Set to Graduate 49 New Doctors of Chiropractic Along With 30 Master's Degree Students at August 25 Commencement

Logan College of Chiropractic will hold its 168th commencement at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, in the William D. Purser, DC Center on the Logan campus. Approximately 49 graduates are scheduled to receive their Doctor of Chiropractic Degrees while 30 students will be awarded their Master of Science Degrees in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, and other college officials will lead the ceremony. The commencement speaker will be five-time Emmy Award0winner Larry Conners, longtime news anchorman at KMOV-TV/Channel 4, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis.
