Ralph Gay, DC, MD
Dr. Ralph E. Gay holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan (1979) and practiced in Colorado until 1988. He also served as a staff consultant to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners from 1984 to 1988. He received his MD from the University of Colorado (1992), and a Masters of Science in Clinical Research from Mayo Graduate School (2006). He was the recipient of an Academic Career Award in Complementary and Alternative Medicine from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine of the National Institutes of Health. He served on the editorial board of the Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from 2007 to 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic and is Co-director of the Mayo Clinic Rehabilitation Medicine Research Center. His clinical interests are diagnosis and treatment of spine-related pain syndromes. His research has concentrated on lumbar spine biomechanics and the biomechanical effects of manual therapies on spine disorders.
