Karen Dishauzi, DC, PhD, MEd
Dr. Karen Dishauzi is an Associate Professor and a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic with licenses in the states of Missouri, Pennsylvania and Florida. She has 30 years of teaching experience, in which 19 have been in Higher Education.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Carlow College with a Certification in Special Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa.; received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic and received a Master’s in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is currently a PhD candidate in Higher Education with the emphasis in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
She holds professional certifications in Title IX Investigator, Acupuncture, Internal Health Specialist, Scoliosis Certification and Utilization Review/Quality Assurance Certification.
She has received the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award at Logan. She received the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges Award through the College of Education Graduate Program and was chosen to be in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society through the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Dr. Dishauzi has a vast amount of experience to complement her teachings in Clinical Methods, Orthopedics, Physical Diagnosis, Medical Terminology, Clinical Nutrition and Neuromusculoskeletal Diagnosis.
