Claire Dixon-Lee, PhD, RHIA, CPH, FAHIMA
Claire Dixon-Lee, PhD, RHIA, CPH, FAHIMA owns CDL Strategies LLC consulting firm. Previously she was Executive Director of CAHIIM, a non-profit organization that accredits academic programs in health information management and health informatics. Prior to that she was President of MC Strategies, Inc., a web-based eLearning technology and consulting company.
She has worked for some of the industry’s significant healthcare technology companies, was Health Information Management (HIM) department head at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and awarded the first Alexander M. Schmidt Fellowship for Research by the University HealthSystems Consortium. She serves as an adjunct associate professor School of Public Health Informatics for the University of Illinois and adjunct faculty at Logan University. She has held an appointment with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) 2011-2017; presents nationally and internationally on clinical data quality, clinical vocabularies, population health, data integrity, technology solutions, academic program quality, accreditation, competency-based learning and workforce needs in the health professions.
Dr. Dixon-Lee holds a master’s degree in Medical Epidemiology from SUNY at Buffalo, a doctoral degree in Public Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois-Chicago, School of Public Health and holds the Certified in Public Health credential.
