What are the requirements for admissions?

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or a bachelor’s degree at Logan
- Prerequisite coursework:
- 6 hours of Human Anatomy and Physiology with a minimum of 2 credit hours in each course
- 4 credit hours of Biochemistry (Organic Chemistry with at least one lab may be substituted)
- 3 credit hours of General College Math
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0 in the baccalaureate degree
- A Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score of at least 283 (combined verbal and quantitative). The previous minimum qualifying score of 750 (combined verbal and quantitative) will continue to be accepted by applicants who took the exam prior to September 2011 and provide documentation. The GRE score of 750 will be accepted in documentation for up to 5 years (until September of 2016). GRE information can be found at www.ets.org.
- If you are a Doctor of Chiropractic, successful passage of all parts of Part I of the National Board Exam (NBCE).

Students can apply on the Logan website or by obtaining a paper application from the Office of Admissions.

How long will it take?
The program can be completed in a year-round format (three 15-week terms per year). Expected completion is two and a half years. However students can take up to 5 years to complete their Master of Science degree.
When are the Master of Science classes offered?
Students are able to start coursework three times per year (January, May, September). Academic advisors will assist in setting up a schedule of classes.
Do I need a bachelor's degree?
Yes. Either through Logan's concurrent Bachelor of Science degree programs in Human Biology or Life Science or from another accredited undergraduate university. You can send transcripts to the Office of Admissions for a free, confidential evaluation of your coursework. A specific major is not required.
What classes are involved?
The Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance has a total of 38 credit hours for completion. All courses may not be offered each trimester.
How do I pay for the coursework?
Federal Graduate PLUS Loan funds are available to all eligible students.
