The curriculum in the Basic Science division is sequentially designed to provide a strong base from which to build upon in the Chiropractic and Clinical Science Divisions. The Basic Science courses are offered in Trimesters 1-4. The courses provide an in-depth, hands-on study of the human organism at every level of organization. Cell structure and function, from primitive to specialized tissue, organs and body systems are studied with a special emphasis on integrating the role of the endocrine and nervous systems. Included in the Basic Science Division is the Accelerated Science Program (ASP), which provides an opportunity for bachelor's degree candidates to fulfill the prerequisites for admission to the Doctor of Chiropractic program.
