The President’s Own United States Marine Band - September 9th

On September 9th, 2014 at 7:30pm, The Purser Center will be hosting The President’s Own United States Marine Band. The United States Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization. Its mission is unique—to provide music for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps.  

Participants Needed for Senior Research Project

Participants are needed for a Senior Research Project, entitled “The Effects of Spinal Manipulative Therapy on Movement Times as Measured by Fitt’s Law”. All Logan University faculty, staff and students between the ages of 18-35 are eligible. This is a three-session study, which is eligible for extra credit for qualifying classes and will be conducted in the Science Building, Research Room #S127.  Participants must be available three days in a row.

Pre-Finals Stress-Free Week

The Office of Student Services is sponsoring a Pre-Finals Stress-Free Week beginning on Monday, August 11th. Students can participate in a variety of activities before taking their final exams.

Paraquad Rock the Warehouse Event - August 22nd


Make plans now to attend Paraquad's Rock the Warehouse event on Friday, August 22nd at 8:00pm at the Paraquad Warehouse located directly behind Paraquad.

The event will feature live performances from FatPocket and DJ Jay E as well as food trucks, drinks and more. 

Tickets are $20 for general admission ($25 at the door) or $50 for VIP tickets ($60 at the door) which include access to the VIP area, preferred parking, drinks, buffet, private restrooms and an event souvenir.

Announcement Regarding Dr. Tracy Shaw McDonald

We are sad to announce that Dr. Tracy Shaw McDonald of Quincy, Ill. (class of April 1995) passed away on July 22, 2014. Tracy practiced at Shaw Clinic in Quincy for 16 years and for the past two years, in St. Augustine, Fl. Tracy is the daughter of Dr. Terry Shaw (class of September 1969). Tracy also leaves behind a daughter, Delaney.

Dr. Melissa Engelson Earns the DACBSP Certification

Dr. Melissa Engelson has successfully completed the requirements to be certified as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP). 

This training will aid Dr. Engelson in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing her diagnostic skills and patient care. The DACBSP accreditation exists to provide a uniform standard of education which assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a high level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Engelson joins 300 others nationally who hold this designation.
