Volunteers Needed for the Arthritis Walk


Volunteers are needed to work the 2015 Arthritis Walk which will be held on the Logan campus on Friday, May 15th between 6:30pm and 9:00pm.

The goal is to have at least 50 volunteers from Logan working the event. If you're interested in helping, stop by the Assessment Center to sign up!

Yoga Classes at Logan



Yoga classes are being offered at Logan! For the remainder of the current Tri, classes will be held from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays either inside the Purser Center or on the grass directly in front of the Purser Center if the weather is nice.

The classes focus on alignment and breath coordinated with movement in order to build core strength and awareness in each pose. These classes allow each student to move and learn at their own pace.

2015 Arthritis Walk at Logan University - May 15th



The 2015 St. Louis Walk to Cure Arthritis event is being held on the campus of Logan University on Friday, May 15th between 6:30pm and 9:00pm. The event features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities for the entire family. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs. The event features plenty of family-friendly activities and lots of food!

Standard Process Trip for Students - June 7th and June 8th



Logan is looking for 55 qualified students to take a free trip to Standard Process (Palmyra, Wisconsin) on Sunday, June 7th through Monday, June 8th. The trip will allow students to tour the Standard Process Headquarters and hear from two Standard Process speakers. 

About the Trip:

- Depart from Logan on Sunday, June 7th at 9:45am via a chartered bus. Logan provides a box lunch for the trip to Wisconsin. Travel times is approximately 6-7 hours.
- Standard Process will host a dinner for Logan students at the hotel where they will be staying.
- Tour the Standard Process headquarters and organic farm and hear speakers on Monday, June 8th before heading back to Logan.
- Standard Process covers all expenses for this trip.

How to Apply:

**Please note this is considered an "unexcused absence" and will be included in your 15% absences.**
- 55 students will be selected.
- Students who were previously selected may not apply for this trip.

Your present trimester

Your emergency contact's phone number
Your polo shirt size (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large or XXX-Large)
A short 5-6 sentence paragraph on why you'd like to be selected and why the trip will help you in your future practices

Criteria

Students will be selected on a first come, first served basis if they are in good academic and professional standing and if they include all of the information above.

Missouri State Chiropractors Association to Visit Logan

The Missouri State Chiropractors Association (MSCA) will be on campus on Wednesday, April 8th between 11am and 12:30pm in the Purser Center. If you are interested in practicing in Missouri, make sure to attend this MSCA informational presentation/lunch. 

The MSCA will be providing information on practicing in Missouri, including information on licensure requirements, insurance reimbursement and scope of practice. MSCA representatives & field doctors will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Admission and lunch is FREE, but an RSVP by Friday, April 3rd is required.
