Chiropractic Success for the Modern Woman

Students are invited to attend Chiropractic Success for the Modern Woman on January 22nd, 2015 between 5:00pm and 6:00pm in the Mezzanine of the Student Center. Join the Women's Leadership Council for an evening of food, drinks and guest speaker Dr. Brittany Warren.

There will be a raffle for the two people who bring the most guests. The two winners will each receive $50 gift cards.

All are welcome to attend.

There are a few new faces on the Logan campus!

Health Centers
Please welcome Dr. Amy Koch and Dr. Erika Evans to the Logan University Health Center team! Dr. Evans started just before the Holiday break and will be working in the Student Health Center. Dr. Koch started this week and will be training in the Student Health Center before transitioning as a float Clinician for the fee-for-service Health Centers. Both Doctors can be found in Office C20 in the Montgomery Health Center.

Admissions
Please welcome Amanda Luchento, MS and Zach Becker to the Admissions team! Amanda will serve as an Admissions Coordinator for the College of Chiropractic and Zach will serve as an Admissions Coordinator for the College of Health Sciences. Fun Facts About the Spring 2015 Tri 1 Class


Logan University recently welcomed 53 new Doctor of Chiropractic students to campus. 
Here are some fun facts about Logan's 185th class:

20 States
A total of 20 states are represented by the new class:
Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah and Wisconsin.

Bachelor's Degrees
60% of the incoming students have a Bachelor's Degree.

Master's Degrees
Three students have a Master's Degree.

Ole Miss
Three students in the Spring 2015 Tri 1 Class previously attended the University of Mississippi.

Dalton
Two students in the Tri 1 class are named Dalton - One male and one female.

VA Chiropractic Residency for Graduates

Applications for the St. Louis VA Chiropractic Residency position opens on Monday, January 12th. The position is eligible for any individual who has graduated prior to June 1st, 2015.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) conducts the country’s largest healthcare provider clinical training program. In July 2014, VA initiated chiropractic residency training programs at five VA medical centers. The focus of these programs is Integrated Clinical Practice, with training emphasizing the provision of chiropractic care in an integrated healthcare system, collaborating with primary care Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs), specialty care, and other medical and associated health providers and trainees.

Applications for St. Louis will accepted from January 12th, 2015 through February 13th, 2015.


Dr. Robert Davidson Appointed Director of the MSN Program

Congratulations to Dr. Robert Davidson who has been appointed Director of the Master’s in Nutrition & Human Performance program at Logan. Dr. Davidson was appointed Interim Director in September of 2014 and Logan is excited he has accepted the Director position.

Dr. Davidson has been an Assistant Professor in the Nutrition & Human Performance program at Logan University since May 2011. Before coming to Logan, Dr. Davidson was an Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University from 2003-2010 and held Postdoctoral Fellowships at Colorado State University and University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and MS in Nutrition from Utah State University. 

JCC, 24-Hour Fitness, Club Fitness Campus Visit - January 9th

Representatives from the Jewish Community Center, 24-Hour Fitness, and Club Fitness will be on campus this Friday, January 9th. They will be in the Standard Process Student Center from 11:00am-1:00pm to answer any question students, faculty and staff may have about gym memberships. Logan has special discounted rates at each facility.
