Individuals ages 18-50 are invited to participate in a research study that will compare body composition measurements between the Biospace InBody 720 and the field’s “Gold Standard”, DEXA for the population of active and sedentary individuals. The study will be conducted at Logan University in Radiology
during June 16th
, 20th, 23rd, 25th and 27th
from 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m
Subjects will be participating in two different types of body composition measurements including the Biospace InBody 720 and DEXA. The study protocol will consist of:
(1) Scanning of the participant on the DEXA machine, which will take approximately six
and a half to twelve minutes
(2) Measurement of the participant on the Biospace InBody 720, which will take
approximately two minutes
NOTE: Participants will complete a 12-hour fast, will be instructed to avoid exercise for a minimum for 36 hours before testing, refrain from alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours and must be properly hydrated by consuming half your body weight in ounces of water (body weight/2).
