To help finance your Logan education, we offer a number of endowed scholarships for current students. The Office of Financial Aid can also help you identify and apply for a variety of external scholarships, as well.

As a reminder, links to year-around outside scholarships remain open for application.

ScholarshipUniverse is our new scholarship software system that all students have access to once they are assigned their Logan email address. You will be automatically matched to scholarships that are available for application either through Logan, as those cycles open up, or outside of the university. Activator Methods International Scholarship - $1,500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must demonstrate a true passion for Activator technique by completing a one-page essay with the prompt- “Why is Activator your practice of choice?”
  • Applicant should currently be enrolled in trimester 9 or 10.
  • Applicant must be Activator basic proficiency rated to apply.

Beatrice B. Hagen, DC Scholarship—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Show interest & proficiency in Basic Technique
  • Current enrolled Tri 6 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.0+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Evaluation from completed by a Basic Technique instructor (Dr. Patrick Montgomery) to validate proficiency in class.

Brian E. Stanek, DC Memorial Scholarship Fund—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Tri 5 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.8+
  • Must be a Mississippi resident

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Brief paragraph stating need and why candidate is deserving. Completed evaluation form from a student-selected faculty member.

Chiro One Wellness Centers' Scholarship—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tri 8-10 DC student
  • Cummulative DC GPA 2.5+
  • Complete scholarship application in full detail

OVERVIEW:

Complete essay on how you will make an impact as a future leader in Chiropractic. Provide a list of extracurricular activities, organizational involvement, etc. both inside and outside of Logan University.

College of Health Science Scholarship—$700

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Has completed in good standing at least 1 full trimester as an enrolled student in the College of Health Science.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0+

OVERVIEW:

Complete a 500-word essay describing your need for the scholarship.

Dr. Arthur L. McAuliffe Scholarship—$1,400

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tri 8 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.7+
  • Must receive a C+ or higher in Tri 7 Core Gonstead class and have letter of recommendation from Tri 7 Core Gonstead instructor.

Dr. B. E. Doyle Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.5+
  • Must be a Veteran
  • Current enrolled DC student
  • Demonstrate financial need

Dr. Eugene Mikus Scholarship—$5,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Chiropractic must be student’s 2nd career
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.5
  • Current enrolled Trimester 7 or 8 student

Dr. Faye Eagles Scholarship—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Female student
  • Full time DC student
  • Currently enrolled as a Tri4 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.5+

Dr. Gordon Heuser Memorial—$1,500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current enrolled Tri 9 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.75+
  • Must excel in Dr. Hillgartner’s Tri 8 “Office Management” class

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Complete a minimum of 1500 word essay on the topics of “The value and importance of Office Management and Practice Management courses in delivering patient centered chiropractic care in a private practice setting.”

Dr. Howard S. Grossman Scholarship—$2,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tri 3 through Tri 9 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.5+
  • College professional or extracurricular activities to be considered

Dr. John J. Hobday Scholarship—$1,500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current enrolled Tri 2 -Tri 8 DC student
  • Must demonstrate financial need

Dr. Keith A. Berger Memorial Scholarship—$2,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Incoming Fall Tri 1 full-time DC student
  • Cumulative GPA 3.0+

OVERVIEW:

Completed scholarship and admissions applications. Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended. Completed short essay describing the importance of giving back to Logan as an alumnus, so future chiropractic students continue to see the benefits of staying connected to Logan after graduation.

Dr. Ken Leistner Memorial Scholarship - $1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 250 Word essay on “What do you believe is the meaning of Strength?”
  • Must be currently enrolled in good academic standing

Dr. Lori Bents Scholarship—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Wisconsin resident
  • Current enrolled Tri 4 – Tri 10 DC student
  • GPA 3.0-3.5
  • Involved in some student co-curricular activities

Dr. Muriel M. Perillat Pediatric Scholarship—$2,500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Student in good academic standing
  • Trimester 7 or higher enrollment
  • Application essay
    • Why are you interested in caring for children?
    • Do you have any experience in working with children (in any capacity)?
    • What are your practice aspirations?

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Complete an essay describing (a) the important attributes the applicant will bring to the care of pediatric patients, and (b) how the applicant would help advance pediatric care throughout the profession.

Dr. Paul Cornelius Endowment Scholarship—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be current Tri 2-9 DC student & good academic standing.

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Complete one-page essay stating why you believe you are deserving of this scholarship.

Dr. Roy J. Hillgartner Scholarship—$5,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • GPA 3.0+ for 6 full trimesters
  • No D’s, F’s, WF’s, or W’s (Students who have a withdrawal listed on their transcript during Spring 2020 through Summer 2021 can still qualify. A W listed outside of this window will exclude the student from the eligible applicant pool.)
  • Must have a B or above in Principles of Chiropractic I, II, III, (Tri 1, 5, & 6), Diversified Technique (Tri 2, 3, 4, & 5), must be able to attend the scholarship luncheon.

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Essay of no less than 250 and not to exceed 500 words of how the recipient is planning to “give back” to Logan and the profession.

Dr. Steven W. Engen Memorial Scholarship - $1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Priority given to MN or NE Resident with intentions of practicing in MN or NE
  • Trimester 7 -10 students
  • Letter of recommendation from faculty clinician or practicing chiropractor
  • 500 word essay on “Who is your chiropractic role model?”

Dr. William M. Harris Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a Tri 7-8 DC full-time student
  • No D’s or F’s, absence F’s, or W’s (Students who have a withdrawal listed on their transcript during Spring 2020 through Summer 2021 can still apply. A withdrawal listed on an applicant transcript outside of this window will exclude the student from the eligible applicant pool.)
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.2+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Essay of no less than 250 and not to exceed 500 words on this topic: “After graduation from Logan, how I plan to give back to the chiropractic profession and to my community.”

Foot Levelers, Inc. Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Tri 6 or 7 DC student
  • Student must show exceptional need and complete Verification of Income and Expenses section
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.0+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Brief paragraph stating why you feel you are deserving of this scholarship. Letter of recommendation from faculty member. Acceptability to Scholarship Committee in the areas of professional attitude and personal endeavor. Recent photo.

Forever Chiropractic, Forever Logan Scholarship—Minimum of $5,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Trimester 2-9
  • Cumulative DC GPA of 3.0+
  • Must maintain academic integrity
  • Must not have been or be in a probation status

OVERVIEW:

Completed scholarship application in full detail. Letter of support from participating Doctor of Chiropractic. Completed 500-word essay describing how the applicant plans to give back to the chiropractic profession or Logan University after graduation.

Founders Scholarship—Covers Tuition Cost for Trimesters 4–10

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed eligible trimesters, as part of the DC program
  • Taken a full course load in trimester one, two and three
  • No negative conduct findings
  • Has the highest cumulative DC GPA of the cohort following trimester three

OVERVIEW:

John R. Howell, DC Memorial Scholarship—$500

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have graduated from High School in Arkansas
  • Enrolled in Tri6-9
  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.0+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Complete short personal story about your life and future goals. High school diploma/transcript to document graduation from Arkansas.

Linda Brauch Kenny Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Single (not married) mother of 1+ children
  • Current Tri 2 through Tri 10 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.75+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Copy of current year’s Federal Tax Return. Complete essay describing your challenges as a single mom, what made you decide to study chiropractic and how your chiropractic education will help improve your family.

Michigan Chiropractic Foundation Fund—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be in good standing in Logan DC program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Graduate of a Michigan High School
  • Student’s indication of his/her intention to return to Michigan to practice

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Essay of why the candidate financially needs the scholarship. Documentation of candidate graduated from a Michigan High School.

Scharnhorst Scholarship—$950

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.8+
  • Current Tri 2-9 DC student

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. One-page essay that demonstrates your professional attitude and personal endeavor. Evaluation form completed by a faculty member.

Society for the Advancement of Chiropractic Education Practice Resource Scholarship (ACE)—$125 for Textbooks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cumulative DC GPA 2.8+
  • Current Tri 7-9 DC student

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Brief statement of club, organization or program involvement to improve Logan & the profession. List books or items you would purchase to better your chiropractic education & explain what would make it a valuable resource for you; please calculate the total cost of the item(s).

Standard Process, Inc. Scholarship—$2,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Tri 2-7 DC students
  • GPA 2.5+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Complete 500-750 word essay based on given prompt. Provide a list of contributions to the chiropractic profession, to the college, and to the community. Provide a letter of recommendation.

Toftness Clinical Excellence Grant—$1,200

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Tri 9 DC student
  • Cumulative DC GPA 3.0+

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Letter of support from a Logan faculty clinician, outlining how the applicant has demonstrated clinical excellence or superior patient care. Completed 500-word essay detailing the applicants plans for after graduation.

Tracey Parmentar Memorial Scholarship—$750

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled DC student in Trimester 8 or 9, no mixed schedule.

OVERVIEW:

Complete scholarship application in full detail. Complete one-page essay stating why you believe you are deserving and in financial need of this scholarship. Completed evaluation form from a faculty member.

Balance 4 Life Chiropractic Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be in Chiropractic school (or pre-requisites)
  • Must be full-time
  • Must live in the United States

OVERVIEW:

Here at Balance 4 Life Chiropractic we want to encourage your journey to helping others. We know it can be a struggle to complete your doctorate as well as how much school and living expense can cost and we want help you on your journey so we will be giving away one $1,000 scholarship every year.

Carol Hall Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Any student who has completed 2 semesters at any CCE chiropractic college may apply.
  • Student must have maintained a 2.5 or higher GPA at the time of the application.
  • Be able to demonstrate traits of leadership and excellence in high school and/or pre-chiropractic education.

OVERVIEW:

The C28Carol Hall Scholarship Program awards two (2) one-time $1,000 Carol Hall Scholarships for education in a CCE chiropractic college.

Healing Hands Foundation of America

Apply now through June 1, 2021

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current DC student
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Nebraska resident for at least two years
  • Student member of Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association
  • Plans to practice in Nebraska upon gradation

OVERVIEW:

Submitted completed application, two letters of recommendation and a two-page essay.

NuSpine Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must be enrolled at one of the following Academic Institutions; CLEVELAND CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE, PALMER CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE, NORTHWESTERN HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITY, LOGAN CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE, PARKER CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE.
  • Applicant must have maintained a 2.5 GPA through six trimesters.
  • Be competent and passionate about hands on chiropractic adjustments.
  • Must convey a passion for bringing chiropractic to more people and have intentions to practice in the Midwest U.S.

Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation Scholarship—$1000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate must be a Sterling Heights area resident

OVERVIEW:

The Foundation will award five (5) $1000 scholarships to students pursuing college degrees or vocation training.

World Congress of Women Chiropractors Scholarship—$1,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate must be a student enrolled for at least one year at an accredited Chiropractic College.
  • The candidate should demonstrate the following leadership and responsibility qualities and community service and participation:
