A Curriculum Designed to Complete Basic Science Coursework at an Accelerated Pace at Logan University.
The ACCELERATED SCIENCE PROGRAM (ASP) enables the motivated student to earn two semesters of prerequisites in science courses in one 16-week trimester. If you have not completed your basic science prerequisites, you may do so through Logan's Accelerated Science Program (ASP). The science credits are applicable toward the Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology or the Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Science at Logan College of Chiropractic and may also fulfill science requirements toward admission to the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program. Three terms are offered annually, beginning in the fall, spring and summer. Term sessions are 16 weeks in length. Each course is 8 weeks in length and is taught either in the first half or the second half of the session. Courses Offered The basic prerequisite sciences: Human Biology, Inorganic & Organic Chemistry & Physics. Full-time commitment required Highly concentrated, this accelerated program requires a commitment of 16 to 20 hours of study per week per subject. The maximum number of courses allowed is two per eight-week session. Any single course may be taken no more than twice. We encourage you to complete your other requirements before enrolling in the program. How to enroll All registration for the ASP is completed through the Admissions Office. Official transcripts should be forwarded to the Admissions Office from all previous institutions. Applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required. When to apply It is recommended that you apply at least 3 months prior to the start of the classes. You can easily apply online.
