As a prospective student, there are several types of aid available and the Financial Aid staff will assist students in securing as much financial assistance as possible to cover your cost of education while attending Logan. Three financial aid programs are currently available for Canadians. Canadian Provincial Loans Available through your province. Enclosed is a list of the Canadian provinces and their respective telephone numbers. You should contact the provincial office regarding possible funding through this program. Employment at the College Available to Canadian students beginning in trimester one. Depending on availability of positions, you can work up to twenty hours per week on campus with an hourly rate ranging from $5.15 to $10.00 per hour. Provincial loans, excluding Quebec, are assessed only if a student qualifies for Canada Student Loan (CSL). Maximum CSL is $165 per week of study. Values given below are maximums, if you qualify. Alberta (Loan Office: 780-427-3722) - Provincial plus Canada Student Loan – 8 month maximum $10,700;

Ontario (Loan Office: 416-325-2929) (OSAP – 807-343-7260) - Provincial loan: none, since chiropractic is offered in Ontario. Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) administers the Canada Student Loan Program – maximum eligibility $165 per week of study.

Saskatchewan (Loan Office: 306-787-5620) - Provincial Loan: $110 per week of study for single/married with no dependents; $234 per week of study for single/married with dependents.
TERRITORIES: CONTACT INDIVIDUAL FINANCIAL AID OFFICES Contact municipal offices, local chiropractic associations and other independent associations re: bursaries and scholarships PRE-PROFESSIONAL STUDENT LOANS Offered through the Bank of Montreal for students studying in the U.S. You get $5,000 the first time you qualify, and then amounts increase yearly by $5,000 increments, to a maximum of $20,000. Interest payment begins immediately, but principal payments start six months after graduation. The rate is lower than for personal loans. Contact nearest branch for details. PERSONAL LOANS OR LINES OF CREDIT Contact your bank to determine which is best for you – interest is lower with line of credit.
