It can be done by enrolling in the 3 + 3 Bachelor of Science degree program at Eastern Illinois University. The 3 + 3 Bachelor of Science degree program with Eastern Illinois University and Logan University was specifically developed for students who intend to pursue a chiropractic education. This program provides qualified students with an opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science degree and the Doctor of Chiropractic degree in one less year. Students from Eastern Illinois University will complete their fourth year of study at Logan. During this fourth year of study, the student will be completing both their last year of undergraduate coursework and the first year of the professional program leading to the Doctor of Chiropractic degree. The student will be awarded the Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University at the completion of the first year of professional study at Logan. This means you will reduce your time in school by one year!!

Logan University Information Logan University is located in Chesterfield, MO in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The Doctor of Chiropractic program is ten trimesters in length (3 1/3 years). The hands-on experience combined with the extensive science curriculum, radiology training and comprehensive clinic exposure gives students a well-balanced chiropractic education.
Since its founding in 1935, Logan has been a leader in the field of chiropractic education, providing its students a hands-on learning experience with comprehensive clinical and extensive diagnostic training. In 2003, Logan broadened its identity to encompass university programs in the areas of health science, human biology and sports science and rehabilitation. Logan University is located 30 minutes west of downtown St. Louis on a beautiful 112-acre wooded, hilltop campus.
A Doctor of Chiropractic specifically works with musculoskeletal problems throughout the human body. As a primary care physician they will work with other health practitioners (e.g. Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopath) to affect the overall health and well-being of a patient.

The Details........
- Under the provisions of this program, student will matriculate at EIU for a minimum of 90 semester hours in course work leading toward the Bachelor of Science - Biology.
- Students are admitted to Logan University only as first year doctorate of chiropractic students. Upon completion of the first year of studies at Logan a maximum of 34 Logan credits may be transferred toward completion of the B.S. - Natural Sciences degree at EIU . An official transcript must be sent from Logan to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and Mathematics, and the student must request application materials for graduation.
- While enrolled at EIU , students will complete all required course work as outlined above and described in the EIU catalog.
- The acceptance of transfer credits or testing toward completion of degree requirements shall be governed by current policies of EIU . However, no more that 20 credits of required courses, and NONE of the science credits required for admission to Logan may be earned via examination or transfer from another school.
- Logan University shall accept, for the entrance date of their choice, all students who successfully complete the Pre-Chiropractic Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and meet all other criteria for admission.
- Students who earn less than a 3.25 GPA, but at least at 2.75 GPA, will be eligible for admission to Logan, and will receive appropriate consideration in the admission process for having completed the EIU Pre-Chiropractic Program, but will not receive the assurance of a seat reserved for students earning a 3.25 or higher GPA.
- Students will make application to Logan one year in advance of their desired entrance date and will complete all required application procedures thereafter in a timely manner, including submission of recommendation and a satisfactory interview.
- Students enrolled in the "3+3" program who successfully complete all course work in the first two 15 weeks trimesters at Logan College of Chiropractic with C’s or better will be granted the Bachelor of Science - Biology degree from EIU , provided they have met all other graduation requirements.
- Students shall pay the appropriate tuition and fees to each institution for all course work taken at that institution. During their first year of study at Logan, students shall not be registered for courses at EIU, but shall pay any fees required to maintain their registration toward the baccalaureate degree. Upon completion of the first year of study at Logan, students shall be responsible for any fees regularly charged by EIU for transfer of credits and awarding the baccalaureate degree.
