Degree Programs

Logan University has established a world-renowned reputation for its academic excellence. The academic programs at Logan are offered on a year round basis beginning three times a year in January, May and September. Each trimester (semester) lasts for 16 weeks. Classrooms are state-of-the art in design and equipment. Stadium style seating and ergonomically adjustable chairs are provided and each classroom is equipped with advanced technology for multimedia and Internet based presentations.

Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program

Logan University has been graduating successful Doctors of Chiropractic since 1935. The educational approach at Logan provides the most contemporary education and training while remaining based in the finest chiropractic traditions. The Doctor of Chiropractic Degree program is a 10 trimester educational curriculum totaling 4,965 clock hours. Full-time students complete the degree requirements in 3 1/3 years. The curriculum is divided into 5 division: Basic Science, Chiropractic Science, Clinical Science, Research and Health Center.

The curriculum is carefully designed as an integrated system. As the student progresses through the curriculum, learning to diagnose and treat according to chiropractic principles, he/she pursues a comprehensive parallel course of study emphasizing the interrelationships of biological, chiropractic and clinical sciences and how those interrelationships affect the human body and its health. The patient care philosophy embraces the essential service of chiropractic adjusting, physiological therapeutics, rehabilitative exercise, nutrition and lifestyle counseling. Logan offers 13 different adjustive techniques throughout the curriculum. In addition, Logan sponsors national board examination reviews for all students. Graduate Degree

  • Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation
    From Amateur to Professional athletes - they all want to perform to their highest capability.  To meet this demand, practitioners need the best training in sports conditioning & rehabilitation.  Logan University has taken the lead by offering the Master's Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.  This unique advanced degree option for sports injury management will provide the experience, training and confidence that is demanded in the athletic arena.



Bachelor of Science Degrees

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Biology
    The Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology is a comprehensive program requiring successful completion of a minimum of 133 semester credit hours. There are 46 semester hours of required courses in the degree major. The curriculum focuses on the study of human biology requiring prerequisite courses in English, Psychology, Social Science, Humanities, General Biology, General an Organic Chemistry, Physics, and College Algebra. This degree provides a unique background of study for those students wishing to enter the workforce upon its completion as well as strong preparation for graduate studies or admission to professional health programs including medicine, osteopathy, podiatry, dentistry, and chiropractic. Logan College is accredited as an institution by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology.
  • Bachelor of Science in Life Science
    The Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Science is designed to provide a broad and challenging sequence of courses relating to the human condition in health and disease. General studies including psychology, English, social science and/or humanities are prerequisites for this degree. Completion of this degree program provides a broad curriculum with a general focus on anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and public health issues. The Life Science degree is frequently selected by those students seeking to satisfy specific state chiropractic licensure requirements or by those students interested in pursuing a non-science major. The coursework is suitable for those interested in achieving a general familiarity with biological topics in preparation for employment or entrance into other health related programs requiring an introductory level of study.

 

Accelerated Science Program (ASP)

The Accelerated Science Program (ASP) is a curriculum designed to help students complete basic science coursework at an accelerated pace. Students can earn one academic year of credit for selected science courses in biology, general and organic chemistry and physics during one trimester (equal to one semester.) Each session is 8 weeks in duration.

The science credits are applicable toward the Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology at Logan College and may also fulfill the academic requirements for admission into the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program. This program is also available to any student who wishes to take a class or two for an undergraduate, graduate or professional program of study offered at another college or university.

This highly concentrated program requires a commitment of 16-20 hours per week per subject. A maximum of 2 ASP courses can be taken per 8-week session. For more detailed information about the ASP program and faculty, please click here.
