In this session of the Whole Food Nutrition Certification Program Dr. Jeffrey Lavell presents Whole Food Nutrition and Aging. Dr. Lavell starts with the biostatistics and needs of an aging population. He then discusses the theories of aging, immunity and aging, vascular disease and aging, sensory loss and aging, and digestion and aging. He continues with a discussion on the effects of polypharmacy, and then describes prostate health and aging men, aging and the brain, aging and the endocrine system, and aging and the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Lavell completes this session with a discussion of the science of Anti-Aging and Life Extension. He wraps up the weekend by administering the final examination for certification in Whole Food Nutrition. Jeffrey M. Lavell, DC is a 1998 gradate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic. He has been a keynote speaker for Standard Process, Inc. teaching nutrition and functional medicine. Dr. Lavell is the owner and operator of Specific Family Chiropractic with two locations in Minnesota.
