8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location:

Instructor: Howard F. Loomis, Jr., DC, FIACA

This exclusive Internal Health Specialist Certification Course continues this weekend with Absorption, Liver Metabolism, and the Lymphatic System. The session begins with a review of sessions one and two and then continues with a discussion of absorption and liver metabolism. Dr. Loomis discusses protein, carbohydrate, lipid metabolic pathways and the related stress point evaluation. He then describes lipids and the lymphatic system including CSF, lymph and craniosacral mechanism. Dr. Loomis continues this excellent presentation with a discussion of diet and the autonomic nervous system. He explains the dietary relationships of sympathetic and parasympathetic systems and the stress point evaluations. He describes and discusses diet and the endocrine system including dietary influences on pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormone production. The weekend concludes with understanding enzyme supplementation including the actions of the various enzymes available for supplementation, and reading and understanding labels and units of activity. Also included this weekend are hands-on labs to put this information to practical use. Dr. Howard F. Loomis is a 1967 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. Early in his career Dr. Loomis was concerned that nutritional supplementation was being practiced much like pharmaceutical drugs, as magic bullets to remedy or cover up perceived problems. In stark contrast Dr. Loomis believes in the use of a scientifically sound system that will objectively measure each patient’s biochemical imbalances and correlate them to the nutritional enzyme support needed. Dr. Loomis’ system of evaluation is recognized as a legitimate and proven method of determining a patient’s nutritional stresses. He is the author of the book titled Enzymes: The Key to Health and he is the President of the Loomis Institute of Enzyme Nutrition.
Why Attend? We all became chiropractors to recognize and remove mechanical and/or visceral dysfunction so that we could restore and maintain the health of our patients. This class gives us more tools to help us to do that more effectively. Attending Dr. Loomis’ class this weekend will help you get back the enthusiasm and purpose you had when you decided to become a chiropractor in the first place.
