Session #6 – The Shoulder

Instructor:    Howard Chapel, DC, DABCO

The presence of chiropractic in the sports community has grown in the past decade. Throughout the world athletes are requesting a more conservative treatment of sports related injuries. They want treatment that encompasses expertise in clinical biomechanics, nutrition, and injury prevention. Clinical competency in treating athletic injuries is imperative to the chiropractic physician involved in athletics whether amateur or professional. The Logan College of Chiropractic Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® program brings the best teachers with the most comprehensive knowledge and real world experience in the profession to our campus to pass that knowledge on to you. This weekend one of the premier teachers and practitioners in sports chiropractic presents the clinical anatomy and physiology of the shoulder.  Dr. Howard Chapel discusses the biomechanics and pathomechanics of this most frequently injured articulation. This is a hands-on class that includes a workshop on orthopedic testing, shoulder biomechanics, treatment and rehab. Dr. Howard Chapel is a 1984 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He is a Fellow of the American Back Society and served on the Logan College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees. Dr. Chapel is the former team chiropractor for the St. Louis Vipers Professional Roller Hockey Team and he maintains a busy private practice in Chesterfield, Missouri where he sees a large population of athletes. Dr. Chapel is another reason why the Logan College of Chiropractic Sports Physician® program is the best in our profession.  Our instructors don’t just talk the talk. They walk the walk. Don’t miss Dr. Howard Chapel’s presentation on the shoulder. Your patients with shoulder problems, whether they are athletes or not, will be grateful for the knowledge you receive this weekend.

Why Attend? It really doesn’t matter whether your patient is an athlete or just someone with a shoulder problem who needs chiropractic care from a doctor whose expertise extends to the shoulder. Dr. Chapel is a Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedist and in this session he gives you the knowledge to understand, treat and rehab shoulder problems. This is definitely a seminar worth attending.
